Fashion Technicians Association Australia:
- This Association represents the interests those who work on the Technical side of the Australian Apparel Industry. We advocate for the importance of our profession within the Fashion Industry.
- Provides resources for Higher Education and continued Learning, in Advanced Patternmaking and Garment Engineering.
- Advocates for research into the latest Fit Technology and Sizing Study.
- Maintains links with industry partners like TFIA and AFC to provide the latest information on the future of our industry.
- Advocates the need for Industry Benchmarks and International Standards of Accreditation.
- Supports Skills Exchange and sponsors Local and International Industry Professionals and Teachers who provide seminars on Advanced Fitting, and Pattern Technology.
- Provides encouragement and support to newcomers in the Apparel Industry, as well as those established in their careers.
- Values the knowledge and experience of those considering retirement to mentor and support the younger generation.
- Networks that provide support for our colleagues in a professional, technical and social way.
