To FTAA members and friends; here’s news about the first event for 2010!

It is a welcome and motivating start to the working year with Kathy Berry, author and teacher of The Fashion Design System, in Melbourne during February. The workshops, with dates listed below, offer FDS Introductory training, and for those who have already completed unit 1; a chance to participate in unit 2 “Garment Fit-ology”. Not to be missed!

Classes will be held at the Melbourne School of Fashion. 144 George St Fitzroy.

The workshops proposed for Melbourne are:

Unit 1 Introductory Workshop-Generic Master Blocks

Bodice, sleeve, skirt, extended line dress and pant for figure type X (Standard)
Perquisites: Nil

Venue—The Melbourne School of Fashion

Length 18 hours (6 hours a day) 3 days

Dates—Wednesday 10th to Friday 12th February 2010 inclusive

Cost $300.00 per person

Unit 2—Garment Fit-ology- “It’s all about Fit”

This unit provides a creative and scientific approach to pattern engineering and fitting generic master blocks: bodice, sleeve, skirt, extended line dress and pant for an individual or fit-model using the direct measurement systems as outlined in The Fashion Design System.

Prerequisite: successful completion of Unit 1

Length 30 hours (6 hours a day) 5 days

Venue—The Melbourne School of Fashion

Dates—Monday 15th February to Friday 19th February 2010 inclusive

Cost $500.00 per person
