Carol Saffer founded Computer Marker Services (CMS) in 1989. CMS is a professionally staffed, specialist bureau for computerised grading, marker making, pattern making, and garment specifications services.  Cients include the fashion, corporate and industrial garment industries.

Carol’s career in the fashion industry began in the early 1980’s with her role to install and maintain the retail computer systems for Jacqueline Eve (now Jacqui E). Wishing to expand her expertise within the industry, Carol then successfully moved into wholesale and manufacturing as General Manager with Figaro Sportswear.

Prior to launching CMS, Carol established a unique consultancy (Micro Style Systems) to the fashion industry utilising the skills and knowledge she gained from both the retail and wholesale sectors.

During 2000-2001 Carol was the Regional Director of the Fashion Group International of Melbourne, the local chapter of a global non profit association of over 6000 fashion industry professionals.

During her term as Regional Director, Carol was instrumental in achieving the provision of Commonwealth Government funding of $39,000 under The Textile Clothing and Footwear Market Development Program Grant for the delivery of a forum entitled “The Business of Fashion Skills Development Project”.
